The NZSCTA Board would like to welcome Scott Wilson – a proud Kiwi - who started his career in swimming with his the initial days of lapping Moana pool under Duncan Laing’s guidance in the 1970s, to the 2017 NZSCTA Conference.
In 1980 an opportunity arose that resulted in him living in Canberra where he gained a full swimming industry experience; learning the ropes at one of Australia’s leading swim club / schools, teaching all levels and age groups, coaching swimmers to both NSW and Australian Teams. Scott coached on numerous NSW teams, and was recognised as NSW Swim Coach of the year.
In 1993 he return to NZ (Wellington), establishing his own swim school before taking a break from the industry in the early 2000s for 2years.
After realising he missed what the industry had and gave, Scott took up an opportunity with Brisbane’s leading swim school . . . Aquatic Achievers; where he is today as Chief Operations Officer.
